Counselling for Young People (Ages 11-18)

If you're struggling with anxiety, low mood, bullying, self harm, or peer/family relationships, you may find it helpful to talk to somebody separate from your day to day life, and outside of the school environment. I offer private counselling in a safe, calm space at my therapy room in Ivybridge.

Sessions last for 1 hour. People usually attend counselling weekly, however some prefer two weekly sessions, it's completely up to you. You can either attend at the same day and time each week, or varied.

Counselling for Adults

People come to counselling for a variety of different reasons and at different times in their life. You may seek counselling for stress, anxiety, or relationship issues. Your day to day life might be affected, or you might need to offload or find some ways to cope. Counselling is for everyone and anyone at any time in their lives.

Initial Consultation

After you have made contact, the next step will be for me to invite you for an initial consultation. This session will last around 30-40 minutes and is to go over your reason for coming to counselling, to find out about how I work, and to ask any questions. I also fill out a short form, and go over my working agreement with you.

If you are a young person, you have the choice of whether or not you would like a parent or carer to attend with you for this session.

After the session you can have a think about whether you would like to book in again, there is no obligation.
